{October 7, 2007}   Living Homes for greener living

Living Homes logo
Living Homes are an innovative and green building company based in California (USA).

Living Homes are committed to building homes that are as healthy as possible and that minimize the “ecological footprint” with respect to the resources they use for their construction, operation and eventual decommission.

Homes built using traditional stick methods can be very unhealthy and extremely resource intensive.
In contrast, Living Homes houses use sustainable, use healthier building materials, as well as energy-efficient environmental systems and products.

So customers can appreciate the Forest Stewardship Council-certified cedar ceilings without worrying that the woodstain they chose is off-gassing harmful VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) that might otherwise disturb their lungs or afternoon Darjeeling tea!

Not only are the homes healthy, sustainable and with low carbon footprints but they are also stunning examples of elegant modern architecture. The company has pre-designed “off the shelf” homes for customers and they also do custom design.

Living Homes first house was designed by Ray Kappe and was installed in just 13 hours and recently Living Homes was certified by the United States Green Building Council, the first company of this type to achieve this distinction.

It’s a pity we don’t have any companies in Ireland currently embracing the values that Living Homes place on their homes.

Klee Paper Logo

Klee Paper, based on the North Circular Road in Dublin have been selling environmental/post-consumer paper since 1988, way back in the day when the word “eco-friendly” wasn’t even in our collective vocabulary.

They have quite literally everything that you might need for your office or home stationary requirements!

They stock paper (obviously) but also cleaning products, coffee/tea supplies, toilet paper, storage units, promotional products, cardboard furniture & even eco-catering products….soooooo many eco-lovely things!

But the best thing we love about Klee Paper is that they deliver your products in a van powered by pure plant oil! And they even collect your waste paper too for a minimal charge.

Quite Klee-ly we love Klee Paper!
